Get There Moving was started in 2011 by two old friends who had been working in the moving business since 2005. Founded upon trust, respect and many years of experience, Get There Moving sought to provide top level service with none of the typical nonsense and hidden fees that were baked into the moving industry in the early 2000's. Since day one GTM has provided exemplary service for a reasonable and totally transparent price. We know the lay of the land in NYC and the moving industry from top to bottom. As a small company, quality control is not a problem for us. We maintain a small staff of skilled movers that are good communicators and well experienced in the nuances of the job. From wrapping furniture, to packing boxes, loading dollies, running stairs, packing the truck, tight doorways/stairwells and bulky objects, we handle it all with ease. We carry substantial insurance that gets us into any building in NYC and we have a moving license issued by the NYSDOT (T-38073). Storage

We offer private storage for our moving clients (sorry no self storage is available at this time). All of our units are climate controlled and have 24 hour security.

Furniture Delivery

From small to giant pieces we do furniture deliveries for stores or just your average Joan looking to move a sofa. We carefully wrap all furniture pieces so nothing gets damaged.

Trade Shows

Over here at GTM we have a long history of providing support to vendors who are exhibiting at one of the many trade show/expo centers in the NYC metro area. From the Javits Center, to the piers, the Armories, the many high end hotel banquet halls, all the way down to Industry City, etc. We know the venues and how to get in and out quickly. Long Distance

GTM provides a different approach to Long Distance moves than most other companies. We don't operate tractor trailers so each move has a dedicated truck and crew. While it can be a bit pricier than a consolidated move with other peoples stuff, the stuff arrives faster (within a few days), and the same crew who loads everything up does the driving and unloading too so there is total accountability.

Packing
